Posters come as the most basic marketing material you can print for your local market. Bus stops, train stations, roads and other public places typically have places where posters can be placed. This gives them a unique opportunity to capture people as they commute to their offices or schools. Posters are relatively big and of course are about a large eye catching image. If correctly designed, posters can give you marketing exposure for hundreds to thousands of local customers, especially if they are placed in right kinds of locations.

Printed catalogs on the other hand offer something really different form posters. Catalogs already represent your shop or company since it displays your products and services in one marketing package. It is basically an extension of your store, that is mobile readily distributable, and most especially of all mailable. With catalogs, you can send the ordering details of your products to a wide audience and it arrives directly into their mailboxes and front doors. This assures you that they will be opened and read immediately. If you designed your marketing catalogs correctly this should interest most consumers with your products and would probably land you some sales and recognition.

For marketing campaigns on a budget, flyers are the easiest and most economical choice in terms of printed marketing material. Flyers are cheap to produce and are distributable within moments once they are printed. This kind of marketing material has the advantage of actually landing its message directly from person to person, or more specifically from hand to hand. You can have your staff distribute it in public places, or you can also place them in mailboxes, door steps and car windshields. They are cheap, maybe a bit crude, but they get the job done. People will most assuredly read them once. If you did your design right, they will respond to your flyer.

Door Hangers
Last, but certainly not the least is the marketing door hanger. This is a unique kind of marketing tool that you can place in your arsenal. Door hangers are usually found in hotels. They are the signs you put up such as "do not disturb" or "please clean my room". Used for marketing, you can place marketing door hangers in the door knobs of your local customers. People will undoubtedly read what the door hanger is all about. Simple as they you get some exposure. With door hangers you can actually cover whole neighborhoods around your store. This gives it a more personal touch and hopefully since you're probably just around the corner, they will eventually come.
Those are just some of the major printed materials you can add to your marketing arsenal. You can be creative and send also marketing letters, postcards and even greeting cards on the holidays. Remember to always be dynamic in your marketing and never get stuck with only one marketing medium.
